I'm starting to get a complex. This shift and my last shift have been all about people killing themselves or wanting to kill themselves. Sunday, we had a 28 year old D.O.A., first impressions are heroin. Then, a kid that tried to kill himself with heroin & ecstasy (didn't work, obviously) and this morning we had a man 40ish shoot himself in the head in one of the cemetaries. I think our streak is good though, because they had a code on the overnight last night. But good lord, people, wait til my shift is over to off yourself!! I must admit though, the GSW was cool

Was he still kicking when you got there? I think it is sweet to have to restrain someone with a busted pumpkin.

Oh noooooo.....he was a couple hours gone. He had an imploded skull on the entrance wound and no exit wound. However, you could see the shape of the bullet behind his ear, not quite broken through the skin, you could just see it there.....lol. My partner and I the sick EMS professionals that we are went for coffee after and I was like "want a jelly doughnut? All you have to do is push in the middle and let the jelly run out"

Good! It's about time one of them got it right! They ought to tell these people that 2 baby asa and a half a diet coke won't do the job! I know, where is the compassion? I lost it a long time ago.

Haha, I know! Nothing worse than the whiny cry for attention....lol. They sure are getting it right in this town, we had another one last night. Apparantly he killed his wife sometime last week and buried her. Went into a standoff with police, then killed himself. (No, I wasn't there this time, I didn't do it....lol) People say my town is SO quiet. Haha, think again!!

Ha! I just reread my first post. This guy actually listened to me and waited until my shift was over to off himself!!
