Hello Everyone!

I thought I would finally make myself know to everyone on the site. It's about time. My name is Ed and I created this site. I have been a bit busy lately because I am getting married in less than 3 months now so I have not been able to put the time into the site that I had planned when I first put it up.

I am a dispatcher in St. Paul Minnesota. I have been in EMS for 9 years. I worked as an EMT for another company in the area for 4 and a half years. I loved it and swore I would never be a dispatcher but here I am 4 years and going and I have to admit that I like it quite a bit as well. I no longer get the same freedom that I did before, but it has its benifits like I don't have the worries about if I will be getting to go home on time!

I have been dabbling in websites for a couple of years and thought I would give the EMS arena a try. I will not claim to know everything about EMS. I was never a Paramedic, although I still give it a little thought from time to time. I don't like the idea of killing my body by the time that I am 40 so I am working on other things. I still love EMS and the thrills that it has. And I really love the stress that it brings the most when things get busy.

I hope to make this site useful to everyone. I would love to hear about where you are all from and about your best and worse calls. Share some of the things that we all love the most about the field and to learn about the other fields that I know nothing about like fire fighting and law enforcement. So please don't be skiddish. Just drop a quick note to say hi. Believe it or not there a quite a few members already after just a month. We have all just been a little quiet.

You all have come here for the same reasons. To meet new people so I hope that this might invite some more of you to join in. Let us know where you are from, what you do, tell us about your great day or your crappy day. It does not have to be anything formal, just a quick hello.

I would love to hear your suggestions. If there is something that I can do to make the site better. I will try to do what I can as time permits.
