Hello all. My name is Jonathan "J.P." Price. I am currenty a paramedic employed by Claiborne County EMS (hospital-based at Claiborne County Hospital and Nursing Home in Tazewell, TN). I started my journey in EMS/Rescue in 1994 when I was 17 years old. I became a Jr. volunteer of the Bell County Rescue Squad, Inc. in Middlesboro, KY. I got my NREMT-B and Kentucky EMT-B in June of 1997. I began part-time jobs at Bell County EMS in Pineville, KY and Knox County EMS in Barbourville/Corbin, KY. I went full-time at Knox County in 1998 and also started paramedic class. I received my NREMT-P and Kentucky EMT-P in October 2000 from Eastern Kentucky University. I continued working at both jobs above and found a third job at Claiborne County after I received my Tennessee EMT-P in 2001. I attended and certified in the very first UMBC CCEMTP class taught in Kentucky in the Spring of 2003. Claiborne County is my new home although I miss all my co-workers and many friends at Knox County and Kentucky EMS. Please feel free to visit me at www.myspace.com/medicjp.

Greetings to all ... I've been involved in EMS since 1989. I became a paramedic in 1993 and have since done rural, small-town and suburban 911, Critical Care Transports, and dispatching. I've even had about 5 years of supervising thrown in there, but not doing that any longer, thank goodness.

I'm also nearly done with my nursing degree through Excelsior. I don't know that I want to be a nurse all that badly but financially it's the only way to fly. (It's criminal how much more RN's make - vs. paramedics - in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.)

Anyway, thanks to all who posted, and thanks to Thorny for putting this site together.

Hey everyone,
My name is Anthony and I plan on becoming an EMT by the middle of Feb 07. I am a Marine who is in the inactive reserves until Sept 07. I was lightly trained in my unit to help out the injured in Iraq. Yes I went twice in 03 & 04 before getting out in July 04. I plan on in a year or two after becoming a Emt, a paramedic for a fire dept in So Cal (eather LA City or County). I want to do this for a couple of reasons- 1) for all the emergency personal who lost their lives on Sept 11, and 2) because of the show Emergency!. I hope to see you all online soon.
