Hello everyone!

My name is Kevin G. and I am from Oklahoma. I finished up my EMT-B class in Dec. of '06 but cause of life I have yet to take the NREMT test, yet I am scheduled to take it this month on the 26th.

I am currently enrolled in a EMT-I class, and can't wait to get on active duty with the local EMS service.

In '92 I almost went into the Coast Guard when my son of 8 months died of SIDS and my life changed. Since then I've taken my time in doing anything, but I couldn't evade my calling for to long. So, here I am...

On the side, I'm a Gamer/Geek/Nerd... However you wanna put it, I don't care. I spend my down time playing MMO's and fixing pc's.

Hey Kevin, nice to see another new member here! I can't say anything bad about the nerd thing... I did make this site And I also think there is a high percentage of nerds/geeks in EMS anyways. You ask most of them and they were not the popular kids in school.

Welcome aboard. Glad to see another person that is not afraid to post on the board. This site could use a little more of that. But it is coming along.

Good luck on the National Registry! Let us all know how it goes. Or if you have any questions someone here should be able to help you out.

Was actually waiting for them to come, but now I'm not sure they will... oops I said it, now they will come. *grin*

The site looks nice, and even the ads don't bug me, probably cause it mostly has something to do with EMS. The prankplace.com one, I'm so gonna be ordering from them soon.

About the NREMT test, I'm so frakn' nervous. I have always had issues with test, specifically big test. If anyone has any sure ways to relax some it would be much appreciated.

Hey Dark first of all nice to meet you. Glad you joined us. second dont worry about the nerd jokes in this field if you can use a computer your educated. you'd be surprised what kinda ppl work in EMS. i was out of the country when i lost my nephew to SIDS one the one hand it hurt that i couldnt be there for that call since i live around the corner from my sister. and then as i got past that i consider myself lucky that i took my course so g-d willing when i have kids i can always be "first on scene". good luck in your class...
